Traveling is living
I work hard, but life is not just about work. Travel allows us to see a different way of life. It wakes us up to other groups of people who have a different ways of life then us. The U.S. is great, but so are so many other countries. The pictures on this page are dedicated to the natural beauty of Taiwan. I love New Jersey, but it does not have the mountains, waterfalls, hot springs that Taiwan offers… Yeah, our pizza and Italian food is much better here in Jersey.
Earthquakes happen in Taiwan
Yes, we do get the occasional earthquake in New Jersey. That is nothing compared to the frequency of earthquakes in Taiwan. With so many mountains, it is common to feel an earthquake over there. I know I felt it quite a few times. It is an island about the size of New Jersey, with many mountains that are in motion. Things move. If you ever visit Taipei, Taiwan, go check out Taipei 101. One of the tallest structures in the World. It has a huge counterweight sphere near the top that helps stabilize the building (see image below). To me this mammoth size ball should be considered one of the wonders of the world.
